UI Creation - Looking for feedback and constructive criticism

I recently stopped getting commissions from people, and I figured out its a lack of work on my portfolio and quality of the work on there.

TF2 UI Remake! (its plain. mainly the way i’d like it to be, in my opinion at least.)

Let me know your thoughts on it! By the way, I just put my roblox avatar there because I don’t have viewport frames in adobe photoshop. RIP.

  • I’m also looking to work on a development team, or you can just commission me at sixroad#4656.

Thanks.

Here is my honest opinion and criticism on your UI, so please don’t be offended  :

I had a look at your portfolio just now, and I have to say that this UI doesn’t look much better than the ones you have put on your portfolio. I’ll give you criticism on this one only since that is what you are asking for.

The UI doesn’t look very detailed in my point of view. It seems to me that the buttons are just a regular button with an image, nothing special at all. It looks like to me that you only used Roblox to make the UI. Your listing price, 1.5k Robux, for this UI seems way to high for me, and that is most likely why you are not getting many customers. Your UI’s are too basic for the price you list them for.

On your portfolio, you’ve listed a minimum of 2k Robux. That is way too much in my opinion, and many other’s opinions. Most UI’s that are made on Roblox aren’t worth any more than 1k Robux, unless it is an UI package which includes all the UI the game will be using. If you do happen to use software like photoshop to make your UI, you definitely aren’t doing a very good job at showing it.

The UI you’ve shown above looks like it’s at most worth 400 Robux. I’ll also take some examples on your portfolio and name some good prices that would seem reasonable to me and many others.

No more than 100 Robux. That one is extremely basic.

This one looks like you’ve used some outside software, but it’s a small item so probably around 200-300 Robux. If you would have made an entire UI Pack with that level of quality and effort, then I would say around 5k-8k Robux for it.

Looks like it was made with only Roblox, so around 150-200 Robux.

Overall, your UI’s don’t look as good and complex as you probably think they are. They’re worth a lot, and I mean a lot less that what you have listed them for.

Usually I don’t use a software, and up to this point I do UI packages, not normal ones. By the way, that loading screen was work in progress and wasn’t finished whatsoever - I agree it looks bad.

But yeah, I don’t do small commissions, or else that’d be way too high.

I don’t like how bland it is. Add some more detail tho and it will look much, much better.

Adding on to my post, the UI you’ve shown on this post along with many other UI’s on your portfolio can be made by a professional in less than an hour. You need to step up your game and spend much more effort on your UI, and start with low prices and slowly raise your price up as you gain more fame. Without much fame, you won’t get many customers. That’s just the way it works.

Thats actually really good advice xD

I just became a developer not too long ago, to be honest. I’m really new to all of this and pricing and all of that, so these comments have been really helpful.

That’s not a good thing at all. Why should somebody hire you if you don’t use 3rd party software? Anybody can make GUI on Roblox with just a few hours of learning. You should use software like photoshop a lot more.

Yeah, I’m new to it.

Currently I know how to use everything, and I’ve learned since the last time I did UI.
