Personally, I use Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to make UIs.

I use Inkscape

It’s free and there’s lots of tutorials on how to use the program.

Adobe isn’t worth the money for beginners

Illustrator, Photoshop.

But, for free, Paint . NET

Raster isn’t good for creating GUIs

But paint .net and gimp are both very good options for free raster editors:

yeah I have that one already. Thanks though!

I use Figma… due to the quick prototyping… But I purchased Affinity Designer which is similar to Adobe Illustrator but instead of a subscription you simply pay $50 one time. You still get new updates as well. So recently I’ve been using Affinity Designer. It’s good for things like vectors and sprites, bad for things like image editing and animation not in sprite form.

Figma is like a good alrounder (except for photo editing). But Figma isn’t really supposed to be used that way.

If you want something for free, then Inkscape is an option. It’s what I use, and works great for my needs.

Now, if you want a program possibly more powerful, then Adobe Illustrator could be a better option.
You could also use something like Paint dot net or gimp (I said dot not . to remove the link).

At the end of the day, it’s really up to you on what you choose. I recommend looking at all the options given not just by me and making a decision that way.

I wouldn’t say adobe is more powerful, just more user friendly. I can recreate pretty much anything that was made in illustrator in inkscape. You just have to know the program very well

Thanks everyone for your suggestions!

I have not used illustrator so I cannot say for sure. I just have heard it’s very good.

adobe ill, its just makes it easy for you, like the shapes when you click which pixels you want the shapes will make the shape at that pixels without scaling it out, i don"t have adobe ill but i watch videos on it.

I use photoshop for certain uis but I mainly use the built in GUI designer in studio, which works very well for my needs.

Usually for frames of UIs, I’d use ROBLOX Studio to create. I use Adobe Photoshop for assets such as images.

I’d recommend using Adobe XD for starters if you want to start making UI Concepts.

I personally use Figma, which is a completely web based tool.

I draft in illustrator, import to XD to see what it would be like from a UX point of view and then export the assets using the export tool which is really really useful.

Wow! I’ve been wanting to do Vectors and UI for a while now and I’ve never really touched on it because Adobe seems expensive. I searched up Inkscape and it looks amazing. Thank you so much
