I’ve decided to make a UI Scrolling Animation Inspired from a website and use my favorite games as cards :
This turned out great and i'm proud with what i've achieved. It did however require some calculations 😵
I've also made a Hover Effect inspired from another website and this is pretty fun so i might keep doing this and turn it into a series.
Opinions Appreciated btw 😁
I had some time so i took some of the feedback you provided and Updated it and the final look is this :
Updated Animation
I Used my top 5 favourite animes this time but that could act as a placeholder for anything really it could be game characters / Game info cards …etc
What do you think.
I didn’t mean anything, it’s good to get inspired from other developers but make sure to try to make it yourself and not follow his instructions if you really want a challenge. Good luck on the rest of your work.
Ah! Don’t say that, you will get better, it’s just a matter of time.
didn’t even watch the video i just saw the introduction, opened the website and started making it
when i later watched i found out he made it click and drag whereas i made it use the scrollwheel
Not bad. That looks great! Would be better to make a bit of it moving randomly and its velocity would be inherited by the scroll speed. Also make it so that when you hover it increases in size with a blurry dropshadow. Also would be better to use images from unsplash.com. Also add a dark gradient that goes black and bottom and transparent till 25% or 40-50%. And there could be some text.
My main goal is more about scripting the UI animation than the whole design itself and if you check the source https://camillemormal.com/ i think i pretty much acomplished what i’ve wanted.
This isn’t a UI i’ll use in my game it’s just to improve on my UI scripting abilities
I think there’s a bit too much going on actually. I would make any background transitions much slower so you only really notice by the time you get from one side to the other.
You don’t want the background to distract too much from the thing that’s supposed to be drawing your eye.
