This is simply amazing! I can’t stop to think where I wouldn’t use this. (GUI to Viewports.) Here’s a quick thing I made while messing around with them.
You mean I don’t have to use photoshop when making gradients? This has been an update that should have been here since the get-go. Thank you!
This is amazing! I love this update. I can’t decide what to make with it first.
Now we just need GUI masks .
been waiting for this for such a long time, ui’s will look a lot cooler now
This is a great feature, love it! One question that I do need answered, does anyone know how to make the gradient effect take place on the text itself, not the background, I’m currently using it like this, with the UIGradients parent as the text.
Hey there Avia,
I think I know what your talking about, in order to fix this try the following:
- Set the background transparency to 0.
- Change the text color to white.
Example:
Hey, cheers for that, have a good one.
I’ve been keeping my eye on this feature for a while now and I have to say this is my favourite feature of the year! You can get extremely creative with the effects
Well, I don’t appreciate the ping off Discord at midnight but I can forgive it AS THIS IS A FRICKING AWESOME UPDATE!!! Can we make custom gradients via scripts? Maybe we could have some tweening transitions?
Yes, you can edit the gradient, rotation, etc with scripts
The only thing I wish to see added is maybe radial gradiants or adding multiple ones
Well I can’t use it, but it looks cool.
So, I don’t have to go in Photoshop, make gradients and upload them as images anymore? This is a great update!
They probably edited the post or you just didn’t see that part.
They edited it, no need to notify me.
Wait to do that are you importing images of text or using the textboxes from Roblox itself?
Also what’s the font?
Amazing job! A feature that I am missing are radial gradients and a better transaprency control (like Figma where you can control each color’s opacity and not like Roblox’s).
I’ve wanted a feature like this for such a long time! This is going to open up so many possibilities not only for GUI’s, but also other unique and interesting features.
I’ve made a “slowly disappearing” object using UIGradients and a viewport frame for fun.

This is a really cool feature and I’m really happy you guys added it. I was wondering if theres ever going to be a rounded corner feature?
