FIXES

  • Data now saves reliably when you leave the game! Yay! (Data was getting embedded in an extra table on single player save which was confusing the database).
  • Trophy road now reliably rewards cars, and reattempts awarding them if it sees you don’t have one but should. YAY! (Likely a symptom of the above issue, but the trophy road wouldn’t reattempt awarding cars prior to this patch which didn’t help…)
  • Rewrote the data saving system so that rather than relying on comparing current data with last cached data, it determines what data is unsaved by firing some .Changed events. This also removed a brief window of time where changes to stats may not necessarily register as changes. TL;DR, the whole system is way more stable and easy to work with for us.
  • Spin progress for races doesn’t save if it’s being set to 0. (The database doesn’t like 0’s so I needed to do some voodoo magic on it, not to mention an upstream bug was preventing changes from being registered).
  • Joining a team from the intro menu spawns you in the correct place now.
  • The intro menu shouldn’t get ahead of what’s loaded and break itself anymore.
  • Added a second anti-scambot check to the dealership, if your chat somehow doesn’t initialize after exiting the intro menu then joining the dealership will fix it.
  • If you’re in someone else’s car and they remove it with the vehicle menu, your HUD no longer gets stuck. (VehicleSeat data wasn’t being wiped properly)
  • Fixed trophy road menu displaying the next upcoming event when there are no live events.
  • Made some minor adjustment to timing during vehicle spawning, hopefully it’ll stabilize the spawn process a little more.

• Improved Street Races and Rewards
We’ve made it so that street races give out healthy chunks of bounty (they’re illegal races, aren’t they?), the stakes will be higher now as cops will be itching to lock you up. Street races also give out trophies as well as weekly points, so you can street race your friends and earn progress toward those new cars on the Trophy Road! We also made a few stability improvements to races, including making the start ring radius a little more forgiving so people don’t get stuck outside the circle as easily.

• Economy Balancing
We rebalanced a good chunk of Victory Road’s economy after evaluating our first couple weeks with the new features.
Key changes include:

  • Lengthening the trophy road to two weeks and adding a second, mid-tier car to the middle of the trophy road.
  • Beginning to remove race fuel for the Weekly Race, and rebranding the Weekly Race as the Grand Prix. We will be refunding people for surplus fuel in gems!
  • Balancing gem prices and adding more gem package tiers. - Increasing the number of spin points needed to earn the common spin
  • Significantly lowering the prices of a bunch of skins
  • Tweaking race earnings a bit

Added the bounty cooldown to teleporting to races.

• UI Improvements
I added a couple icons on the bottom left corner of the screen that depict the status of your saved data, as well as the status of the database. In the event that our webhost experiences another heart attack, these changes should lock Robux purchases down to prevent people from buying stuff while the webhost is choking. I also made some visual improvements to the shop, the trophy road, and some other spots that I forgot about already
