To clarify, this thread is not here for my benefit. My issue has been sorted. It is instead to make staff aware that something is wrong somewhere in the billing system. This is why I have not contacted them via email, I do not need assistance.
Yesterday I was reviewing my bank statement online and noticed a payment had been made to ROBLOX via PayPal which had not been authorized by me. About a month ago I took out a subscription to builders club but immediately cancelled it (and I am certain this is the case) however after logging in to ROBLOX yesterday to check, it would seem it had not been cancelled. I attempted to cancel it for a second time and was unsuccessful again. Instead I contacted PayPal and they have kindly refunded me for the purchase and cancelled the billing agreement on my behalf.
It would seem that you are unable to cancel the recurring membership through ROBLOX if you are using PayPal. Obviously I can not be certain this is the cause but it definitely needs looking into incase other users experience this same problem. It is entirely possible that this was a one off, but I doubt that as it would seem that neither cancellation was successful.
It would be a good idea to contact users when membership is due to be renewed and, when membership has been renewed or purchased.
inb4 response saying ‘Are you sure you cancelled it?’ Yes I did.
If your account or subscription is terminated by either party, no refund will be granted; no online time or other credits will be credited to you; and you will have no further access to your account.
I get that you have “sorted” the issue by cancelling the billing through paypal, I am just informing you of the proper process should this happen in future in order to minimise the risk that your account be blocked.
Can confirm not to through PayPal like this without first talking to ROBLOX. I’d contact ROBLOX ASAP because PayPal refunded something you already received from ROBLOX. That equals a deletion for “Disputed Charges”.
