This group seems to be glitched. I’m a member of this group, and I wish to claim ownership of it, but I cannot see a “claim ownership” button, it shows there is no owner within the owner role in the group, yet it shows a non-member being the owner of the group on the top of the page. That seems wrong.
I tried contacting support, but they weren’t too helpful, and eventually just told me to re-read what they already said, which I told them I already knew, but it wasn’t working. (Ticket #68603766)
Expected behavior
I would expect the claim ownership button to be here like this:
I’m curious about this as well because I responded quickly on mobile in a rush and just noticed I was the owner. When I came to look at it closer, I saw an IRS person comment about “fix worked”, and they actually transferred ownership to me in the audit logs.
My guess is someone at Roblox Engineering fixed it after they sent the message saying “we will look into it”, then it became claimable, so IRS claimed it when he noticed that it was claimable, and transferred to me. Props to them for that too, I would’ve expected a different outcome. But I don’t fully know what truly happened, but I would presume the most likely outcome. Perhaps @au_tk could share some insight if my theory is accurate?
Ideally, if they’ve done anything, they’ve completely fixed the problem of having an owner when there’s no actual owner in the role, but it’s possible they also just fixed it for this singular group manually.
