Unable to edit permissions

Hi there, first of all, I am aware that this is the wrong category for this topic. However, I am unable to put it in a more fitting category due to me not being a regular on the platform.
Anyway here is the issue:
I am working on a game and need to give a developer edit permissions.
The game is published by a group but I don’t want to make a developer role as certain projects need to remain seperated.
When I go into settings> permissions I am unable to change the “play” permission to “edit”.

The game is published by my group. I am friends with the developer on roblox and I have tried restarting studio, making the game public and more. Still I am not able to change the person’s perms. Please tell me what I am doing wrong.

You need to be friends with them in order to edit their permissions.
They also need to have edit permissions if they’re in the group (the role).

As I mentioned, I am friends with them.

I believe you have to give the entire role edit permissions.

I tried it but still not :frowning:
Is it possible you can’t set their induvidual perms when they are in the group?

Okay after some testing I found out that it is not possible to set the permissions of an individual person when the game is published by a group.

Thought so, it’s a bit upsetting, but it is what it is.

I’ve never understood why Roblox arbitrarily limits our ability to allow individuals to access projects published by a group. Multiple years later and Roblox still has this extremely poorly labeled - The collaboration menu has everything’s hover over text as “user must be a friend to edit roblox”.

You’d think after multiple years they’d actually make it clear what the hell is going on, but it’s just as confusing as ever. Shame!

I totally agree, it seems like such a small change that could make a big difference!
