i selected the model, clicked export, got an obj,an mtl and some texture files, imported them into blender and there is nothing there. i tried deleting the scriptsin the model but that didn’t work
Where is the model located in your Workspace?
If you import it to Blender from the Workspace Position of -500, 0, 200 then it will be in Blender at that same location.
If you select the Vertices, Edge or Face tool then press A (for all) you can manually change the Mesh’s Position to 0,0,0 so it’s at the center.
i think it is invisible since i selected it using the drag selection and it selected the model
Yes, but I’ve done the exact same thing and Blender tends to make things invisible at pretty short distances.
Did you even try my suggestion?
- Look at the top RH side (Blender 2.9 and later) of your Blender ‘workspace window’ by the orientation widget (X,Y, Z red, green and blue axis tool). There’s a small < tab.
- Click it and you’ll see Item, View, and Tool tabs.
- Click the Item tab and then click A on the workspace to select all.
- The values shown will be the average location of all those items.
- Set all 3 X,Y, and Z Location values to 0.
Your model should be at the center of the axes on your screen.
The other way to do it is to select your model in the Roblox Studio window, move it to 0,0,0 in the workspace there, and then export it. When you load it into Blender it’ll be centered there.
