I’m unable to join any game on my pc / WiFi once again. Instead of error 429, joining game leads to being stuck on “Joining Server” screen endlessly. Same thing for joining studio, would be stuck on “connecting to server” forever. But I’m able to join any game on my phone using cellular data perfectly fine. Ima assume this is the same problem that caused error 429 but more subtle. My WiFi provider is AT&T.
Expected behavior
I’m expecting to be able to join any game or studio on pc normally without delays or authentication issues using my home WiFi like before whatever update was pushed out.

Thank you. As of right now it is still occurring, I only got it to work a few times by entirely unplugging my WiFi router and getting a new IP address, but that’s only if I’m lucky. After about 45 mins it goes back to the joining server situation or if I’m in a game, the game stops responding and has connection issues. So I have to repeatedly restart my WiFi and hope I get lucky in order for it work again.

Can you help share the link to experience that you are encountering the issue of being stuck on “Joining server”? Are you encountering this behavior on trying to join all experiences or just a single one?
I’m experiencing it on all experiences, and for studio - any place that has team create on.
Hi minecrafteremillio,
I’m sorry you’re experiencing this issue. I understand that it is happening to all places on Team Create. Would you be able to provide some example places you are trying to join so we can look deeper into what might be happening?
Also, would you mind checking if you have the “Incoming Replication Lag” setting set in Studio. We saw some other reports with a similar issue due to this setting being set too high.

Yes I’ll be able to show once I’m at PC again, but this is mainly an issue for Roblox player that carries over to studio. I would try join any Roblox game and it gets stuck on “joining server” endlessly, and if I try to join a TC on studio it says “connecting to server” endlessly. I was able to get it working again once or twice after resetting my WiFi Router to get a new IP address (50/50 chance of new ip by doing that) and was able to join games and studio TC again. Then after some time the problem resurfaces until I reset my WiFi a few times again.
Another thing is I can join games fine from my phone , or I can join games fine on pc if I’m using my phone’s mobile hotspot as its WiFi connection. It’s only I can’t join games on my pc while connected to my homes WiFi even though my WiFi is stable. So I’m suspecting IP addresses has something to do with it.
As of right now it is happening again and can’t join anything

It is now happening even after I reset my WiFi router multiple times. I’m starting to believe it wont be fixed as it’s going on day 2, - day 3 if you count error 429 and won’t be able to play Roblox again for a long time or ever again if this is permanent. Have tried everything on my end with minimal luck to now 0. very frustrating
I don’t use bloxstrap or any add ons so not quite sure what it will do
but I believe this is something to do with a update they released 2-3 days ago and a patch they did to fix the error that update caused. According to another forum member it’s likely something to do with IP, as it’s possibly whatever they did messed up something and indirectly blocked a lot of residential IPs, which would explain how I’m able to join on phone or use my phones hotspot just fine. First it was error 429, which was patched 2 days ago now. Now it’s stuck on joining server forever , which ima assume is the same issue as 429 but more subtle. Sometimes it works if I reset my WiFi router a bunch of times in the hopes a new IP address is assigned, but then it goes right back to the issue of stuck on joining server after a hour or less and have to reset router a bunch of times again. It’s absolutely ridiculous. One solution is to revert the updates for the past 2 days and re work them and thoroughly test them before re releasing.
How do you get to that screen?
F12 → console → refresh/do something at will

Thanks, yep just as we expected. Error 429 is still around and hasn’t been patched at all , and 403 is there too.

As of May 1st, still unable to play ANY games on Roblox due to error 429 and maybe 403. I have tried everything possible including repeatedly restarting router.

Thanks for helping us debug this via DMs @minecrafteremillio, this is a short summary for public visibility on this issue.
The logs provided showed that the Roblox Client on your device was having problems either receiving packets or processing data from the Roblox Server, though the issue cleared up on its own before we were able to collect additional details to identify the source of the problem. One thing we were able to determine on our end was that the specific issue in this thread, being stuck joining a server, was unrelated to the 429s you see in your browser.
We currently have some work in progress to better understand issues like this and deal with them more gracefully. In the meantime, please feel free to re-open this post or create a new post if you do start encountering the issue again.
