I am not sure if this is the right topic but I can’t access the Bug Reports topic so I picked this one instead.
This has been going on for a week or so, but I am simply unable to log into the Studio. From what I’ve seen online it seems like this is only happening to me, which is why it’s so confusing.
Basically, when I start the Studio, it waits on “Logging in” for a minute or so before telling me that logging in failed.
(Note: I am using Windows 10, this is just a WB skin)
Clicking “Try again” results in the login popup appearing and after clicking “Continue” the same popup appears again.
Clicking “Log in from website” will open the login page on the website but continuing just causes the same popup again.
Two days ago, I solved the issue by syncing my computer time to time.windows.com, but now it’s happening again and I can’t fix it.
I am using a VPN, not sure if that affects things but without it I get a 403 error and if I turn it off once it’s already open then the same issue happens as above.
System specs and information:
Windows 10 21H2 Build 19044.2486
Roblox Studio version-f19e66a5f78b44f1
Using ExpressVPN
What I’ve tried
Restarting Windows
Trying with/without VPN and other locations
Reinstalling Roblox Studio
Deleting the HKCU\SOFTWARE\Roblox key. (Yes, I have installed it to my local user, not the computer)
Changing my password
(Note: The authentication popup does appear and asks for verification and 2FA, that all works well but after authentication it fails)
Hello there…
This seems like an interesting problem. So by reinstalling I believe you went to system files on your windows and deleting Roblox Studio from there.
Have you installed any suspicious plugins? You can try checking if there is any plugins that you don’t recognize or outdated and delete those. They may somehow interfere.
Hope this helps you out.
there is one more thing you can do, but it’s not easy, you have to format your pc to factory settings and then try again, if this don’t help, you will start a war with your computer
Not to dismiss your suggestion but I would assume that wouldn’t work as I had already installed RS fresh on a Virtual Machine and it doesn’t work there either.
I would try again on another device but I don’t have any on hand, so I’m stuck with guessing issues on this one device.
i’m had the same issue with gta 5 year ago, it took me 7 days of formatting and installing a lot of programs to figure that, if you can, try to find a program or virus that can blocking roblox studio
