My issues are just like the forum post below: any and all attempts to log into Studio results in a “Login Failed” prompt. I was able to solve this issue happening on my Windows 11 Desktop, and prior to fixing that, I had a 403 error when joining any game (solved by logging out of all sessions then re-logging into my account). This issue happened on both my Windows 11 Desktop, and Windows 10 Laptop, so I don’t understand how they could be linked and it happened regardless of any account I tried to log into. It’s like I was IP-Banned from Studio somehow.
I’ve attempted a normal uninstall and a full uninstall (using Revo Uninstaller which gets rid of things that are left-over).
I had contacted the Roblox support system prior to me finding the forum post, but I sent them a message that “the solution below worked for my issues”, so that closed the ticket. I’m not exactly super eager on trying to send another support ticket that takes days to get a response back, so anybody who has heard of or used other solutions would be greatly appreciated.
TL;DR - Cannot log into studio at all on Windows 10 laptop, attempted solution linked below
I can send it later if necessary. But for now in text:
Launch Studio (either from the website or from the program)
Studio sends you the prompt to Log In.
I enter in my credentials (username/password).
Studio sends that error.
Attempts to log in via Website, and sends the error again.
The forum post I mentioned is this exact issue. So, any other methods the user (myself) could use to log into their account also go back to this error.
hi try finding one of your experiences on roblox website can be starting place or anything and than click 3 dots after pressing 3 dots it will give you list of options and click “edit in studio” after clicking edit in studio it should open studio where it should auto login you or should give prompt if it does show the prompt just press “Open roblox studio”
This is the result of any and all attempts to log into studio, and while I can still use studio on my desktop, it’s quite disruptive if I need to go out of town and I’d like to access studio via my laptop.
Tried it just now, still returned the same error. I wouldn’t immediately see why a browser or its stored data would cause this issue, as the issue relates to Roblox Studio itself.
I’ll keep my laptop on to try other suggested solutions.
This is genuinely the worst issue with the Roblox Studio platform
This has happened so many times before, and the only fix for me has just been switching to a different private network, but it’s literally ruined so many productive sessions when I go to a library or try to code at school and it soft locks permanently until I get home.
You’re currently banned from Roblox. (maybe even IP-Banned) You can use an alternative account (even though it is against the Terms Of Service.) to log into studio. If you still cannot log in then you should: restart studio or reinstall studio. (if this still didn’t work then maybe it’s your internet or Roblox is having problems.
Hope this helped.
Seeing this error message doesn’t necessarily mean you’re banned. I’ve been dealing with this for the past week, and it’s extremely inconsistent. What’s usually worked for me is, instead of starting studio by opening the app, find a game you have edit access to, click the developer options, and click “Edit in Studio”. Sometimes it decided that it would be easy to sort out, sometimes it took days of trying everything I could think of before it randomly decides to finally let me log in, even after doing things I’ve tried a dozen times.
Alright but I never really had this kind of problem. Usually this problem appeared for me when I got banned and I had to switch accounts to continue programming.
I mentioned it before that it behaves as if I were IP-Banned- I’m not actually banned… If I was banned I wouldn’t have come to the forums unless I found it to be an extremely questionable reason (of which there are a few, but they’re far and few between).
