There is a bug right now where you are unable to rank anyone in the group. When you try to rank someone, it will say “Unable to update the user’s role.”, this started happening just now. I have tested it on my Mac and my iPhone.
I have also asked my friend to rank me in his group from another account of mine to see if I was the only one who has this problem and he was unable to.

This is not a bug, they disabled a certain endpoint temporarily in order to prevent a flaw in the group system that allowed people to take any group from the owner.Attention group owners: Critical group security flaw - Bug Reports / Website Bugs - DevForum | Roblox

Same issue is happening to me.
the roblox.io says everything is running fine. But its clearly not.
As @Self_Reflexive has said, this isn’t a bug & is intended behaviour.

Thank you for the detailed report in private, we were able to reproduce an issue and are working on a priority fix.
The offending endpoint has been disabled entirely while we are working on a fix. This means this vulnerability can currently not be abused. (please let us know if you see otherwise, in private)
We will update you once the issue has been resolved. In the mean-time, please expect issues when trying to change user roles in groups (this is part of the endpoint that was disabled).
We will turn the endpoint for changing user roles in groups back on once the issue above is resolved.
