I’m experiencing the same, although unlike your other bug report, I am lucky to be able to change the number of players the server starts up with (most of the time).
Still, I’m unable to make a player join late now due to this bug. Not sure of a workaround for that.
This is an issue I am experiencing too!
This behavior is needed to test reconnecting after exiting a game, and joining late is a huge thing to test in live games. Hopefully they fix this soon.
In studio when you click test and run a local server, you used to be able to run with one player and while testing load in another player. I don’t have that ability anymore. A private message is associated with this bug report
Bumping this. i also have an issue when i cant start the server with more than 1 player no matter how many players i choose, so this makes creating a multiplayer test server technically impossible…
A workaround for now, if you use quick open actions (Windows: AltCtrlP, Mac: ⌥⌘P), search for Start. Click it and it’ll add the same number of players you originally launched your play test session with (ex: launch with 2, click button, you’ll have 4 players in your session). It isn’t perfect, but it’ll allow you to add additional players to a local server session for now. We’re still investigating the root cause to determine a more long term fix. Please let us know if that workaround helps!

Once i start a local server with a given amount of players, i am not able anymore to add extra players. You used to be able to do this by just selecting the number of players you wanted to add in the “Player selector” and then just hit start, which would create those extra clients. This is not availabe anymore as the start button is grayed out once the server is created.
This feature was essential to me to be able to test any PlayerAdded events for scenarios where other players were already in game. There isnt any other way of currently testing this type of scenarios.
The fix has been shipped! Can you please confirm for us that you are now able to add clients after launching a server and clients play testing session? Thanks!
