So, I was trying to verify my phone number (Russian Federation) to get account back if I will forget/lose password.
About problem: Everything was going fine but then it “sends” me the code. When I tried a good solution it showed me this.
I waited like 10-20 minutes and it still showed me that message, I tried google, using alts, it didn’t help. How do I solve this? 
Same issue here, I think that code request doesn’t get through because there’s something blocking it. Interesting thing is that the phone verification tab is entirely gone and defunct for Russia even if the phone number is verified, so I’m 99% sure you can’t verify by phone now. Consider using something else to login if required, like 1-time login codes or an email.

I am currently in Turkey, I am sure nothing is blocking it. But I will check it anyway.

Anyways, I found out that my phone version is old and perhaps I will get new one on birthday or Christmas. (It didn’t send a SMS because SIM-card wasn’t correct for my version of phone.)
