Unclear if experience owner gets commission without using "Avatar Inspect Menu or the Avatar Editor Service"

When reading about commission on 3rd party sales, it seems to claim that you (as an experience owner) ONLY get commission on in-experience sales if you’re using either ‘Avatar Inspect Menu’ or the ‘Avatar Editor Service’.

If users purchase your item within an experience using the Avatar Inspect Menu or the Avatar Editor Service, the experience owner also receives a commission.

If I have my own UI and just do

game:GetService("MarketplaceService"):PromptPurchase(player, assetid)

Will I still receive commission on the 3rd party accessory sold?
I bought a 3rd party UGC accessory in my game and it did not show up in Monetization > Avatar Items so maybe I’m wrong?

Yes, you’ll receive a commission, but only if the person who bought the item is not the owner of the experience, or the owner of the group who owns the experience.

Thanks for pointing this out. I guess I’ll need to do another test. I was assuming that purchases of Emotes do not get commissions because I tested it, but I bought it in my game with the owner account.

Does anybody know if Emote sales count towards commissions if purchased in your game?

Yes, emote sales give you a 40% commission.
