I’ve made a kit of parts that snap together to enable the rapid building of houses for a medieval / fantasy theme, along with some example builds. The parts work on a 10 stud snap. I’ve aimed for a softer look than pure parts, but still with a low poly count (obviously not as low as creating individual one-off houses in Blender)
There are some instructions / sample code included to turn the snow on/off
I’d be interested to know if this sort of thing is useful / wanted. Obviously there is scope to add many more parts, but I thought I would see what the feedback was like before I put in any more effort.
I’ve tried to make sure it is public / copylock-removed, but Roblox is messing me about a bit, so any problems, let me know here.
Thanks Philip. I’ve just been making 2 or 3 models per day, on and off, for the last few weeks. Most models are quite simple, some of the roof parts have been awkward to make sure they match up (let me know if you find any errors!).
If I get enough of a positive response here then I will probably add some more bits. If you see anything obvious missing, feel free to post here and I’ll think about adding it.
In a perfect world I’d keep improving this and then add some additional, compatible, paid packs to the creator store if it ever supports model packs. I would like the core of it to remain free.
