Recently encountered this error message when Union-ising a Part (Ball) and a Union together, this is posible, but for some reason i got this error, and like every error, they dont explain what, why, and how it happened. Any fixses would be greatful, thanks!
I know people not to suggest using Union, but when your too lazy to open and make it in blender, its a decent enough alternative i suppose.
@MrSmith1963 as ‘Him’ says, give us a roblox place download and tell us how to recreate the steps to encounter this error. Without any steps of recreation, this bug will not be fixed and you will not be told the fix and as to why the error happened, if steps given truly do not work, then thats when you file a bug report.
I hope you understand that the information in the topic you posted does not give any information on how to recreate it whatsoever.
First of all, im not going to give you rights to my game.
Second of all, i already explained how it happened, since then i have restarted my computer and closed studio, i have yet to see if this solves it, ill let you know in the future.
I understand there isnt much information, but i dont know what else to say, i was unionising a ball with an already made union which was a cylinder near enough.
As for the topic of the forum, i cant change it, as the current one is the only one i could find that was close enough i suppose.
Hi John,
We’re always working on the CSG engine and fixing issues. Unioning a Ball and a Union should work. The easiest way for us to fix an issue is to reproduce the problem with a debugger attached, so that we can see what’s going wrong. If you’re able to file a bug or some other way that reliably reproduces the issue, that would be very helpful.
It seems out of all my only Places - the one i attempted to Unionise the 2 objects together is the only one erroring, every attempt i make at Unionising objects, it just displays that error, no matter what object i unionise, no matter how many, now matter how big or small.
To be honest I dont mind the error too much, its just an inconvenience - because i have to go into an empty Baseplate to Unionise every union i want to make, then copy and paste it back over to my game.
However, if i was to send an empty Baseplate with the objects that fail to unionise, it would work for you anyway - because its not the objects that are at fault, its my game, and I’m not too comfortable sending a copy of my game, which im sure you can understand.
Also I’m not sure what you mean by attach a debugger, may you elaborate on that please? Thank you.
Oh and - how do i make the catagory of the Post under Bug Report? As i do not have the Bug Report catagory listed for some reason.
