Union or model?

I am making a parachute in Roblox Studio and have made a model for it which has got WeldConstraints to connect them together.

I have the option to turn all these parts into a Union:

By converting this part into a Union, does it mean all my welds are still there? Is it better to use a model or a union for this?

By converting it into a union, it becomes a single, connected part. I’d say it’s probably best to use a union, but that’s just my own unbacked personal preference

Silly me of course it would be connect! I think I will change it to a Union but will it have issues? I have seen loads of topics about Unions having issues.

I’d say just to try it. I have yet to utilize a union for (I assume) a tool

You shouldn’t use it as it off has performance issues, use weldconstraint or welds.

I recommend you to use model cause it fast and easy
but

Union

have 1 bad part
one if you union a very big part part that worth like 100 part by just right clicking and union that way it can’t storage it so your studio will crash

Model’s fine. I personally do not use Unions because 1. they can get corrupted and the union will disappear, and 2. Unions have weird triangles most of the time and sometimes it doesn’t even look like the original model.

If you really want to make it a single part, your best bet would be converting it into a mesh and if you know how to, optimize the mesh.
