Unions sometimes show internal parts, even in simple Unions

I made a tree trunk using CylinderMeshes, slightly tilted and rotated around in a cone shape. When Unioned I can move the Camera through the Union and still see all the exterior surfaces of the CylinderMeshes inside the Union.
I tried Unioning 8 Parts at once as well as Unioning 2 Parts to begin with then adding 1 Part at a time with no change to the internal surfaces.
I thought the purpose of Unions was to get rid of the internal surfaces to cut down the workload on CPUs?
I’ve noticed this occasionally on other Unions as well.
I tried searching the forums here to see if anyone else has mentioned this, but nothing popped up.

Here is the model made free so you can see what I mean by zooming through it with your camera in Edit:

I know adamintygum took a copy.

Interesting…

Any ideas about a cure for this?
I ask because I’m trying to make a fountain and river. The semi-transparent water Unions are still showing the internal parts making the water look like a bunch of Parts put together, not a single semi-transparent Union.

The algorithm to cut each part out is failing but it’s one of the few cases where the library we use does not return a failure. You can try offsetting the parts slightly from each other to make the deltas larger or working at a larger scale.
