I have been working on a game the past few months called ΓÇ£Universal Pizza N CoΓÇ¥ and I am really excited to be getting this game out there. I still have a lot of development ahead of me but I wouldnΓÇÖt mind some feedback on some of my ideas.
BY THAT I MEAN GIVE THE HASHEST PRODUCTIVE CRITICISM
The original idea came from Work at a Pizza Place by Dued1 and when thinking up the game design I was talking to TheNickMaster21 (My cousin who lives a sniperΓÇÖs shot away) about his game concept of personal servers (for Farming with Friends). So I decided to go with an approach on having it so you can own and customize a store. The base working mechanics are close to Dued1ΓÇÖs mechanics for working on pizzas. The store owner would have a lot more control over the workers and there would be a store money system.
The employees would have an automated rating system for how efficient they are per job. Stores would pay an hourly wage. Stores with low rated staff will get a bonus amount of money.
The game would be based around ΓÇ£Business DaysΓÇ¥ where pay checks and store changes would take place at the end of day or EOD. The store owner would be able to plan changes to the store and they would take place at EOD. Supplies would be pre-ordered then arrive at EOD (unless they pay a bit extra).
Before you go all ΓÇ£this idea is not originalΓÇ¥, Dued1 did not copyright pizza, I am fully allowed to make a game based on another game. I am majorly changing the core mechanics to my own unique game.
A list of features that I am planning
[ul]
[li]Two types of playing: Store owner and worker[/li]
[li]Private and Public stores all ran by users[/li]
[li]Store owners can hire managers and change their permissions[/li]
[li]Supplies will cost[/li]
[li]Be able to change the layout of the kitchen, changes will take place EOD[/li]
[li]Multiple difficulties, hard difficulty would bring in taxes, burning pizza, utilities, and a lot more customers.[/li]
[li]Pre make pizzas to help with busy hours[/li]
[li]Multiple store types from pizza buffets to sit down pizzeria[/li]
[li]Randomly generated cities with ability to have multiple stores in one server.[/li]
[/ul]
There are still some features that I am not yet willing to make public. Your productive criticism and ideas to monotize will be much appreciated.
Gud, Deud1 had too much of a monoply on pizza. Sometimes I want to order from another place for my roblox dinner.
Good on you though, looks swank. Something really important is making a game like this really not complicated. I think aura knows more about this than I do.
I LOVE the looks of it already, and personally, I’ve nothing against you making a pizza factory type game, as you said, you can’t really copyright pizza.
On the subject of city generation, I started making a city generator here. Not all too great yet, but could definitely be used as a base for something. If anyone wants me to o-source it, just ask.
Oops! I uploaded the wrong file to that place. I’ve reverted the version now and it works.
Silly me.
Anyways, streaming is enabled (and a good thing too, this city is masssssssive; see spoiler for scale), so you’ll have to walk the walk to see the full city. Below is a screenshot in Studio.
[spoiler]Note that this screenshot couldn’t capture all of it. You see the baseplate? That’s actually 4 baseplates, arranged 2x2, with the maximum size a part can have on the x and z axis (2048). That means that this generates OVER a 4000x4000 stud city, in mere seconds, while still looking fairly decent. You can’t see the full thing because ROBLOX puts a render distance limit on it.
