Unnecessary seat tray feature

Does anyone else get bored sometimes and throw in features that have no purpose to your game? I ended up making the trays on the back of these airline seats open/close when you click on them. Totally pointless, but kinda fun.

You never know if that feature will be important for a future feature.

Controllable seat tray mechanics are essential for gameplay

Also, PvP Stranded confirmed?

I have to develop an entire weapons system for characters first. If I actually succeed at doing that, then…yes. I’ve actually never made any combat games on Roblox, so I’m taking it slow.

I love throwing in useless features/Easter eggs. In Super Bomb Survival, there’s a big bundle of TNT hanging from the ceiling in the lobby. If players jump around on it enough, it detaches and falls to the ground with a loud CLANG sound.

I like unnecessary and undocumented features because it gives your game a lot more depth, and it feels awesome when you discover them on your own.

Like what @Polyhex mentioned. If i were to discover that when i was younger i would be like “woah!” and tell all my friends about it. You know, if i had any.

I actually kinda beat you to that. My plane seats from 2013 had working tray tables.

Dang, you’ve got those flatscreens too.

The in-flight movie is terrible though.

Is it ‘Flight of the Phoenix’? I work in aviation and there are so many unreal parts in that movie.

I love neat little details in anything I play. Did you use HingeConstraints or animations for the action?

All of the flights I’ve been on the windows have never been perfectly centered like that for each seat

The animation is completely custom via CFraming. I have a Tween module that I use often for things like that.

Your project resource management is…

You are doing this for the views, aren’t you.

Hard to have good project resource management when you’re mixing in a full-time job on top of it all :stuck_out_tongue: Sometimes making random features is an artistic outlet that helps me have some fun!

@vsnry, yeah it depends on the size and spacing that the airline uses for the seats. The aircraft manufacturer comes out with a measurement and the airlines try to cram as many into the aircraft as weight will allow.
As far as I know they space them out for a first class type seating arrangement, but economy carriers don’t usually have first class anyway.

I also do this. Do /e dance4 as R15 in Ultimate Boxing and see what I mean.

All the little things in a game add up
