Unoptimized Saving Image on blender question

Hi, I noticed today that when I save an image on Blender, it weighs down the image by 2x or even 3x sometimes, for no reason at all. Which make some of my textures unoptimized, i need to redo them now…


But my question is, do you know if when i export my assets .fbx with already an image on it, does the image is as well unoptimized or no ? Should i manualy put the texture from my computer folders to have it optimized or is it the same ?
