Hey, so I was looking at a group and I thought to go onto the image link as I found it to be interesting then it appeared with the unsafe browser warning.
Unsure if this is intentional in any way but I feel a cdn which is marked as unsafe by Microsoft might be something you want to look into, unsure if it’s some kind of false positive but hopefully it can be resolved.
It’s used on all announcement images on groups, only noticeable if you directly go to the CDN image.
I think this might be a false positive.
I tried it myself and I didn’t get a warning. Maybe it could be an issue with your browser.
(i am using Firefox)
False bug-report. There is nothing suspiscious with the image. I checked it’s HTML and it seems fine. Microsoft Edge is simply randomly flagging the site as unsafe. It has nothing “unsafe” about it and is safe. No need to worry.
Gilcdn.com is the Roblox-owned “Guilded”'s CDN. There is nothing unsafe about it, 1 search on google and you can see all the reports of false-positives.
It’s not a false bug report if it occurs for some people and not others, the bug report wasn’t me saying that the image was unsafe, I was saying it was being flagged as unsafe very different.
It’s guilded and Microsoft related. Roblox is no where near related to it as the link is a guided link and the issue is with only Microsofts browser. Roblox is only related in just hosting the link and nothing else.
If they truly felt that way then it wouldn’t have been approved and created as a bug report I can assure you. And I might remind you Guilded is owned by Roblox, sure under a different company name but they still actively work together meaning this being here is far likely to be brought to the right people than doing nothing.
I would also like to add this only seems to happen with Guilded links which are displayed on the Roblox platform, regular Guilded announcement images and other images hosted on the platform don’t have this unsafe warning at least from my heavy testing.
I can confirm, that it does get flagged by Microsoft.
If you open the image itself, in a second tab, it gets flagged.
But if only using it as an iframe on roblox’s group, it doesn’t get flagged.
People used Guilded to host phishing related content, and the phishing content got reported to Microsoft, so they flagged the Guilded CDN as malicious even though it isn’t
An extremely exaggerated example to help visualise this better: It’s like if Roblox got this warning screen on it because people were uploading decals that said “send me your credit card information”
