[UNSOLVED] NPC is not taking any damage from the player's gun

This police AI is not taking any damage from the player’s guns, I’ve so far traced the issue to the guns and not the AI itself, but I can’t find the issue. Hit markers do not show up after the bullet hits the AI, and the bullets deal no damage. Players will take damage normally.

collision
This is the only script that changes collision groups, and is only for a car.

Okay, Can you do the debugging, cause that can help, but go through all the things I gave you.

I’ve used roblox’s debugger, and the only error is an unrelated admin script.

Also went through the callbacks and nothing seems wrong.

I’ve gone through everything, no fix.

Inside this method, there is a check that the target is a player. The NPC characters are not players, so you never fire the damage event.

You have to change the script here to make sure that the target can be a player or one of your NPC characters.

If you can provide edited code it will be helpful, but you don’t have to

I got that script and tried it and it workd on NPC characters. The function that does the damage is

Which is called inside the WeaponsSystem.doDamage function on the last line

Try to put a breakpoint in those methods and see if they are being called. Especially if target:TakeDamage(amount) is being called.

If they are not being called, then you have to look backwards, otherwise maybe the humanoid inside your NPC has some ForceField that prevents it from taking damage or something like that.
