"untracked memory" jumps to a 1GB on specific devices

Up until today, I could not play our Roblox game My Farm on my phone (Galaxy S10E) because of memory issues. on my device textures had expended to almost 1GB of memory size in place memory.

After reducing almost all of our texture sizes the game finally launches for me but I have discovered a new issue: Untracked Memory.

I do not know why but the console shows that our game uses a lot of memory on untracked memory - it goes up and down constantly, never stopping and never stabilizing - from 300MB to 1500MB only on untracked memory.

When I play the game and look at a lot of objects everything just fades in and out of existence in black flashes.
This issue is replicated by launching our QA version of My Farm on a different S10E.

i’ve attached 2 set of screenshots from 2 different devices a “Oneplus6” and my Galaxy.
on the Oneplus6 there is 0 untracked memory. same build, running the same place.

Specific devices with the issue:
Galaxy S10e - Android 9.
Galaxy S10 - Android 10.

devices without the issue:
OnePlus6 - Android 10.

Non trivial amount of untracked memory happens (with much smaller numbers though) on some other android games, we will look into it. Thanks for reporting!

Sorry to necro bump, but I published an empty place with the “Flat Terrain” template and nothing more. (no settings changed or anything) The untracked memory is at 450mb on my galaxy s10e with absolutely no scripts in the game.

I’m no expert on the subject, but could this be one cause for crashes on low end amazon tablets?
With 450 mb of untracked memory added to place memory and core memory, I’m around 1gb client memory.

I would like to add: the same test place has an untracked memory of 0 when played on my PC.

Bug / Issue still exist, its basically became a normal test we do on mobile devices before each publish.
seems no reply or fix to the issue for over a 2 years since my initial encounter.
