Out of nowhere, around 80 announcement posts that I untracked have suddenly become tracked again overnight. This happened with a couple posts yesterday but I didn’t think of much of it, and then I woke up to this:
This is irritating as I untrack these threads to keep unreads limited to important things. I don’t know of any particular behavior that caused this bug.
Rough repro steps:
Start tracking a thread
Stop tracking the thread
Wait an eternity
Thread will become tracked again and reappear in unreads
I have no idea if this is a devforum specific bug or a discourse bug - I searched around but couldn’t find any other reports of this online, so I’m leaning towards devforum-specific. Let me know if there’s any more info I can provide.
Hmm. I’m having something similar. I’m getting notified in mass about posts closing, which really makes no sense. I’m not following @system. On top of this, I’m not receiving notifications correctly. (Instead of getting notified correctly for the new post I get notified about random posts…)
This was because I just moved all my old FF posts to the new categories
They’re showing up as ‘New Topic’ when it shouldn’t (it’s not a new topic and it was previously visible to you); it should just say ✏️ Automationeer. Could be showing up because you follow/track the old category, the new category, or the OP.
Hmm, I don’t think that’s the problem. I see they were moved, but I’m not getting notified for the new posts. (I track all subcategories of #forum-feedback).
