Unwanted Shading on Parts/Unions/Meshes

I have been searching the developer forums for an hour and still haven’t been able to resolve this.

I encountered this shading earlier as well but this time that method which I used to fix it doesn’t work. Any help is much appreciated.

This seems to be a problem with Roblox Studio as I also exported a default UV Sphere which showed diagonal shading. As a matter of fact, it’s on the unions too. Global Shadows were disabled as well. It’s probably caused by some update as it wasn’t there earlier as I remember.

Edit: Wow, just tested with parts. It seems like disabling CastShadow isn’t doing anything. Global shadows were off. Not sure if this is on my end.

This is just a stack of parts I put together to recreate the effect.

Edit2: This seems to be dependent on my camera somehow as you can notice in the below gif.

Is this happening to anyone else?

Have you tried going to lighting > appearance and then at technology to Voxel instead of shadow map?

If this does work, then I’m not entirely sure how to do it. I think it’s a roblox thing.

It’s Voxel. I prefer it for many reasons and it’s much better than rest. I’m guessing this is an unexpected result of some update. There was a Roblox studio and player update earlier today.

Perhaps could be. I wish i could give you a 100% answer, but i can’t seem to figure out why this issue occurs. I honestly think it’s on roblox’ side

This is a gif I made that shows the shading Roblox is giving to parts on certain angles regardless of Technology even with global shadows off. This happens on Parts/Unions/Meshes.
