uOS - Operating System (Feedback Needed)

I decided to make a roblox operating system because I am bored.

I couldn’t think of a decent name, so I chose uOS, unvalidOS or Unvalid OS.

I used third-party sounds for this OS, until a later version because right now I am too lazy to make my own sounds. I might finally make my own sounds in version 2.0.0. Right now, my OS is at 0.1.0 alpha.

Current Progress
Boot Sequence - 100% Completed
Login Screen - 85% Completed
Desktop - 0% Completed
Filesystem - 0% Completed
“BSOD” - 90% Completed

How to boot uOS
Starting up uOS is simple. After the user presses the power button, an MS-DOS like text user interface known as “MC-SYSTEM” or “Master Corp-System.” After a few seconds, it will dissappear and you will hear the startup chime. You will see a white screen with a uOS logo and a progress bar. After a few minutes, you will be headed to the login screen. If you see your roblox username, log on. After you log on, the menu will automatically be opened once you reach the desktop.

I feel like loading screens in these ‘operating systems’ are unnecessary. It just wastes your time. Sure it looks cool but like… I just wanna get to the point and mess around with it. :joy:

Am I going to be able to use roblox studio on there

There will only be 5 applications in version 1.0.0. IDK what names will the apps be yet.

No, you will not be able to install web applications in uOS, even roblox studio.

Also the sound played during hardware test on startup is VERY FUNNY. It sort of sounds like the dial-up connection sound in Windows 95 to 2000 computers. This sound will be looped until the hardware test is completed. But, it will sadly be removed in version 2.0.0.

This OS will have a major overhaul in version 2.0.0, releasing by summer-fall 2022.

The loading screen will be revamped in version 1.3.0 and MC-SYSTEM support will be dropped. After version 1.3.0 of uOS is released, no more MC-SYSTEM and you will be able to mess around with the system after waiting just 14 seconds instead of 40 seconds to load.

It will have a dark theme, a white uOS label and a progress bar instead of the progress being stated on the screen. The hardware test will immediately be ran after powering on. The hardware test sound will still remain, but will be quieter. It will go completely silent in version 2.0.0. The startup sound will play when the lock screen is visible starting version 1.5.3.
