Upcoming Developer Hangout Game [SEND IDEAS]

Hello everyone,

Currently, I am working hard on a project that I’ve called ‘Dev Hangout’. This is an alternative/addon to the ‘Recruitment’ category of the Roblox DevForum, where instead of waiting for people to respond and see your posts, you can hop on to the game, and find someone instantly.

How It Works?
You’re probably wondering how this game will actually work? Well, when you first join the game, you will start off with a shirt that says ‘TBC’ on it. This is the default shirt that will be enforced onto your character. Once opening the ‘Roles’ tab, and selecting a role, the corresponding shirt, all with different colors, will be equipped onto you. For instance, if you selected ‘Scripter’, a shirt with ‘Scripter’ on it would then be placed onto your character. I thought this would be a more fun and better-looking way to do things, rather than having dozens of huge overhead GUI all over the place.

Once entering the building of the game, there are two floors that are furnished with tables, chairs and couches, where you can discuss jobs, prices and specifications. You can go and sit anywhere with your work-seeking partner, and begin to talk about business.

What is Coming Soon?
There are a few things that are already being worked on, these include:

  • More roles (such as clothing designer and riggers)

  • A menu that displays all of the players looking for workers, and evaluates the task they have prepared.

  • Some sort of facility through the back doors of the main building, perhaps regarding meetings for groups and teams

Have Any Ideas? Drop Them In The Comments!

Thank you for coming thus far. If you don’t mind, I would appreciate it if you would answer this poll. That’s all from me for now, thank you!

Would you consider trying out Dev Hangout once released?

  • I would try out Dev Hangout to find people to work with and seek jobs.
  • I would not try out Dev Hangout (If so, please leave your reason in the comments).

Personally I don’t see a need when you could just post on the Forums anyways. My advice to you is what makes your game different? Why should I join, what are some advantages, etc.
