[Update] Changes to Asset Privacy for Audio

OK we’re getting a bit off topic, back to the audio privacy update. Anyways, it’s been nearly 3 months since we’ve gotten no response on whether we can make audios public or not. I feel like that devrel doesn’t listen to us anymore

Yeah, especially from Roblox staff themselves.

what i mean is you can go into inspect element (i forgot the word but its page source) and you can find your roblosecurity

Definitely agree with this. You should still be able to make it private.

For now you just have to type every single experience universe ID in there. Maybe someone should make a bot for that?

no it does but its just so tedious

How do you know this? Why not?

OK, granting permission does work. I don’t wanna have to spend time granting every game that I see people request my audio. I would rather just grant audio to all games at once.

I also don’t like that you have to have edit permission or grant edit permission to insert someone else’s audio in your game. If they have edit access, who knows what they could do.

So now that it works you have to still complain about it?

EXTREMELY agreed, everytime I publish just even a BASEPLATE, Roblox’s default sounds, such as swordSwish or whatever, get requested to be granted.

I’m just kidding, that was all the way after the audio privacy update on march 22nd.

What? Can you just delete it then?

This sentence does not make sense to me.

How would you feel if you had a 10 audio upload limit but have to upload a lot of audio for your game?

I have bad feeling about reposting audio.

Why do you have to upload more than 10?

Depends on the circumstances. I’ve had to upload dozens of files for narration, for example. (before the changes were announced)

Because they have led to tragic consequences in the past, nobody can argue with that. We have seen such horrible things happen in the real world that started with sharing sensitive personal information through digital platforms, including Roblox.

Because they are thousands of dark websites that can pinpoint a person with even one of these. I’m not sure why you don’t get it.

As I stated, that would be abusing the audio uploading feature. Why are you falsely telling others to do something potentially against the Roblox platform rules and/or can get them moderated in some way? You do not even have any evidence that it won’t get you warned or banned at all.

Now, if you’re going to comment me on, “you don’t have any proof, either” … it’s common sense. If there’s an upload limit, it’s there for a reason. A limit is a limit, and bypassing it will not make things any better.

I uploaded 250+ songs without issues
