Just verify your account with your ID then you can uploud 2000 songs a month

2000? I am only able to upload 100 with ID verified.

if you uplouded alot of assets before this and have premium and verification of ID

I’ve seen non-premium developers get the 2000 upload limit, what you’re saying is the conditions that you think were applied to yourself.

Personally, I believe you have to have the Bricksmith badge (or basically, 1000 place visits), have little moderation record, a **mildly popular game (open to interpretation)**and be ID verified. However this is just a theory/belief as no one except ROBLOX’s own boffins know about the approval process for this extended audio limit.

Also, for the people arguing above (especially the bacon hair guy), you do in fact realize different developers have different needs, right? You should know better as a fully fledged front end web developer, than the comparatively underskilled teenagers and young adults on this post and forum. Your apparent un-need for uploading 10+ audios per month could not apply to developers making sound intensive games like physics or music related games. For me personally the 100 limit post-ID verification is enough as I only need to upload a somewhat normal amount per month, however clearly the 10 per month limit isn’t, that is why I ID verified in the first place.

The argument above is simply un-needed and contributed nothing to the thread and our single cause (of getting Developer Relations to actually post a follow-up).

If you’ve learned how to argue properly in the first place, you all should know that assuming that mass amounts of people believe in general ideas just because you or some people think the same/had the same experience is never the right thing. This is called hasty generalization, look it up.

Birthday? Out of 23 people, there’s a 50% chance two of them have the same birthday. But 100 million people? A lot.

I saw in the post (or a reply) that it’s 10 for normal user, 100 for ID verified, and 2000 for eligible DevEx people.

However, now scrolling, I see a lot of people that say it’s beta program and place visits. (starting at post #9)

“We’ll continue to experiment, and some users may see different limits in the coming weeks.”
I think that was the only hint they gave regarding the 2000 upload limit for random users.

Okay, but they can’t wait a month in between 10 uploads? Or use an alt account like I stated above?

Did anything bad happen to you?

Hmm… not necessarily random users though, right?

I refuse to make assumptions regarding that circumstance.

I think that you already did.

Everyone keeps talking about developers not willing to become ID verified, but what if you were a creator under 13 (who can’t get ID verified on Roblox even if they have a passport)? Your only choice besides creating a new account with an older birth date and using the broken search for Roblox audio would be to, for instance, devote a whole year to uploading 120 audio assets for a detailed game. I don’t know how convenient that sounds to you, but for me, not so much regarding the majority of unverified creators.

I don’t mind if we had a daily limit (just like YouTube) with no way to increase it, but I believe since many developers keep their large numbers of audio assets off-sale, similar to what they did for other asset types, we should have a limit on how many audio files can be made public (once they give us that ability).

Why even was a limit added? Is it because anyone could keep uploading them?

The original idea of the limits may have been to prevent spam uploads prior to the privacy changes (or more realistically to prevent the new moderation queue from overloading despite creators’ desire to re-upload audio rather than pick from the licensed library) while allowing uploads to be made for free.

None? Excuse me, but surely you know that there are thousands of malicious extensions on the Chrome Web Store.

Yeah! I don’t see why not. Roblox only requires your date of birth (DOB) for the age verification, they don’t need other forms of ID that reveal more about a user’s real identification.

It’s not age verification. It’s human verification. If you’re a robot, you shouldn’t be able to upload ANY AUDIO. However, Roblox kindly gave a small amount to people who wouldn’t want to verify.

Name at least 1.

Go to the blog, filter to Product & Tech and click on the 15th post on the first page, and you’ll notice that it is officially “age verification” even though it strives to ensure those who verify their age are human beings as well.

Oh okay, got it.
