Roblox said that they plan to sunset guilded by the end of 2025, which means they are planning to discontinue guilded permanently, and there’s nothing we can do about it.

I used Guilded quite often. i switched my community from Discord to Guilded just a few months ago. Absolutely terrible news. Guilded was a good alternative to Discord and i was willing to actually use the app.
All good things come to an end.

Guilded had great potential. It provided a lot of great features while maintaining them for free, unlike Discord. When Guilded was first purchased by Roblox, I had high expectations for the platform. Perhaps an in-app integration so Guilded could be used alongside Roblox to provide a better and safer experience for the users. I was also one of the earliest ones to be accepted into their API program.
It really saddens me that it’s now going away. I sometimes wish they weren’t bought in the first place, or bought by another company, so it would be a better alternative for Discord. (Although, there are good reasons why Guilded accepted the deal with Roblox, preferably for funding.)

Yeah same here. I switched from Discord to Guilded months ago after my account was falsely terminated by their Trust & Safety Team.

I really don’t like this change. While Communities has potential, it doesn’t yet offer the features needed to replace Guilded on Roblox. It’s also much harder to access since there isn’t a dedicated button in the bottom bar of the mobile or desktop app. The UI makes it inconvenient to use Communities actively, as it’s harder to navigate back to where you were, and the search tools are poor. Moderation is also more difficult, with missing features like proper notifications and audit logs. On top of that, it lacks live chat rooms, which was one of Guilded’s biggest strengths. Overall, I think it would be better to improve Guilded rather than sunset it.

The communities screenshots are false advertising. it never looked like that in both the website and the mobile app. but thanks roblox for buying a company. stealing its resources for your own vc system. forcing their users to use roblox accounts. and killing it and giving discord an even larger monopoly.

I’m sure it’s not just for that reason and they did of course use it for the new communities announcement and forums system. It is also internally the main source of communication but since they want it to all be done on Roblox now they are likely just moving the technologies over to make Roblox itself suitable for everything guilded was needed for

Does Guilded have any plans to respect data privacy laws such as GDPR, and let us download/delete all of our account info? Now seems like a really good time to have this data considering the imminent shutdown, and the last time I tried contacting Guilded Support they refused to hand over my chat history.

Can discord announcement functionality be added? While many more people are gonna be using announcements when it becomes dedicated, it’d still be great if there was a way to copy an announcement directly from discord to the announcement section
Also like will guilded be sold off again to someone else or will it simply remain in the grasp of death?

I am pretty sure Guilded has no rights to erasure your Data. But If they have that would be good, but I am concerned about if they have rights to erasure your personal data, etc.

PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE EXCISTING GUILDED COMMUNITYS. My whole Game To do and bug list ist there. It’s great to plan your game and exchange with your developers.
(It also had great potential for community’s, but your updates ruined it completly)
The flow feature also had great potential. u can’t just abandon something that great,

As Roblox said above, they will NOT sell guilded. Instead, they are planning to discontinue the messenger service.
predators can be in fact found in every existing social media if you try hard and investigate
