I recently met the requirements. I Have <10k followers
( ✦ ) REME - Roblox
And have access in the group:
( ✦ ) morl x 8o8mph - Roblox
(that has <1m hours in the last 90d)
I’ve been waiting for verification for almost 2 months, I hope this rework comes out. I could expect to see it early feb? I don’t want to wait too much cuz the game could fall below 1m and I loose my chance for who knows how long.
Just wishing for updates by roblox, they gave little to no info.

wait what if a studio gets the requirements do all members get the badge or does only the owner get it.

if you’re not the owner/holder of the group, you need to have editing permissions to the game in studio as well as 10,000 real followers

So like the manager of the group not just developer.

you need edit perms in the group (for example you can make new experiences / edit current experiences in the group) + 10k legitimate followers

And that’s how people have cheated it off. They would just let random people with 10k followers (bots or whatever) in then give them dev perms.

What if my game had 1M hours last year during November and December of 2023. Do i still qualify for the badge? My game now has like 800,000 hours in the last 90 days unfortunately it was really hard to update the game to keep it active so it basically fell off.

I believe one is only eligible for the verified badge if they currently meet the requirements- otherwise, you’d already be verified as the last wave was in october 2024

yup and not only that. The fake developers who have bot followers, use their bots to dislike experiences. Making the rating go down.

I agree, I hope Roblox revokes the verification badge towards the “developers” who cheated it. I also wish that they start verifying legitimate developers who meet all the requirements.

Bit of a joke that the page is still up and running with the requirements, but there’s been 0 response / feedback from Roblox

unfortunately even developers with special contacts at roblox were only told that they are reworking the entire verification system, and their support just gives the same copy and paste response: “if you or your group are compliant with criteria, you can expect the verified badge to be granted within the next several weeks.”
lets hope there will be a verification wave next month
