I would recommend using pre-made assets with this for moderation reasons. I’m guessing this API will work with the Decals/Images system aswell as maybe SurfaceAppearances.

stop complaining about moderation dawg… like everyone complaining about editable mesh and image moderation completely forgetting that developers with bad intentions can just brick-build inappropriate shapes and objects + words? kinda silly all of these reactions imo.

This is a great tool for developers to add decals or images on assets, more so for avatars and mesh parts, but this is pretty cool.

All the excitement for the feature is gone just because it is only for editable mesh (which basically means, the feature is gatekept by id verification!!!)
It is very possible via textures but then again, this isn’t free thing to do when it comes to terrain, meshes, etc. It unlocks various possibilities to the environment for the scene you’re building.
Most of the developers on the platform will not do anything inappropriate. I am pleased developers are receiving more tools. Of course, there are going to be bad actors but they will exist no matter what Roblox does. Even if roblox removed every single image they would still find ways to bypass using parts etc.
