in game bug report forms would work great here- not to mention they should be the standard for feedback
you can do the same thing on other platforms, and thatâs not everybody. parents who actually monitor their kids will be setting the correct age and therefore not have access to such features
overall itâs a good update, iâm all for protecting the younger generations especially in the big 2024
This is good and bad at the same time honestly. Developers probably now need to add their own custom support forms in-game to receive feedback from not only <13 users but users who are not willing to use Discord or Guilded (now that inbox messaging has been removed).
How will we collect feedback about our games/UGC on groups from users under 13? I get that you can use all these complex scripts and GUI, but I and some other people do not know how to do that without using free models that are likely broken or have 27 viruses. You couldâve waited to make the alternative before practically muting them from feedback and every other way a group wall can be used. Most groups use Guilded or Discord too, right? Well, those applications require users to be 13+. Along with removing the classic message feature, these players can only chat with their friends (let me guess, this will also be removed soon too). Also, canât you use this to find which users are under 13, and which are over 13, whether that is a good or a bad thing.
looking at my 6th grade class, i think its probably a good thing that under 13s arent giving feedback anymore
@BitwiseAndrea created a resource for this purpose: Form Embedder: An impossibly simple way to add a Google Form to your experience
also it does not have 27 viruses
Roblox is in an difficult position on the human moderation side. Its very expensive and Roblox is significantly unprofitableâŚeven with the garbage microtransactions and dev % sharing. I do unfortunately think better AI systems is the only viable path forward for the time being. However it is truly ineffective and Roblox does not seem to have an efficient way for its community to communicate bad actors to moderation. Which its unacceptable that after more than a decade this is not something they have!!!
i understand this is for the safety of users under 13, but⌠you wouldnt need to do this if you just had better moderation that wasnt managed by potato clocks
Thank you! But I still think people will use this to find usersâ ages, though that doesnât relate.
welcome to the result of an AI being trained on quite possibly one of the worst communities i have set my eyes on
yes, itâs very easy for a team of mods (letâs say 50,000 for this situation) to look at and moderate millions of UGC every hour
lol i didnt think about that the ai decided âso theyâre going for garbage on the platform. that means i need to delete everything of actual qualityâ
lower the amount of UGC created, and restrict it way way way way more
or they could just pay more for ai. all of the AI on the platform (moderation and studio assistant) is the worst
They should rework, or at-least improve, the AI moderation system.
itâs actually the best available; no other platforms moderate to this scale iirc
the solution is a better reporting system which is being worked on
the best available for their VERY tight budget
They have a lot of money, but they can lose it easily. Hence why they take money-saving options.
yeah they definitely pay for servers, staff, moderation, development, and research out off their pockets
not to mention they use third party software for moderation, go complain to microsoft lil bro
