Exactly, group walls are really helpful for genuine feedback, especially for smaller communities. The problem is that now <13 users have almost no way of communicating with their favorite developers. These users can’t access social links, can’t use platforms like Discord, and now can’t post on the group wall or inbox message devs.

While it’s possible that <13 users are more likely to fall for or spread these scams, the vast majority of these posts are created by bots. When a bot account is created, its easy to simply set its age to over 13. I presume that the most of them already do this.

This change is going to severely negatively impact the way my large group’s monthly events function for the next 3-6 months until the forums come out. This change should be a group option in settings, not forced on us.

With how many kids have set fake ages on their accounts this will not change much. Besides that, the group wall feature needs to go ASAP when the new community portal arrives. It is far too dated at this point. Can’t wait for communities anyway, I’d rather use that than Discord which is a lot more dangerous for those kids to be on with no filter, being able to send pictures, etc.

This is obviously a panic change by legal in response to certain online posts. I’ll tolerate it in the short term, but absolutely not in the long term. I am losing feedback from 54% of my community.
Again, 54% of my players cannot share any information with me, including suggestions, bug reports, or any engagement at all. That is enormous.
Please update us on the timeline for communities and give us more details on how you plan to support feedback from <13 users.

Why would you make this change (or the similarly arbitrary removal of the inbox) before you launch Communities? What is the current alternative? I’ll give you a hint: there isn’t one. If you so heavily wish to stifle communication on this platform, you might as well remove access to the ingame chat for all users under 13 as well.

The moderators have to rely on AI (which is actually hopeless) to moderate the majority of the platform, all because this game transformed from a fun game for kids to a cash grab. one, huge cash grab to rule them all

you got the wrong PBS, I’ve met the developer he’s a great guy and made the game when he was 12, he didn’t know it would be a hotbed for innapropriate behaviour. literally, go to the games group and he has a shout about clones of the game. the one by “Behaviour Interactive LTD” is the one shown in that video, not the one by tallywally

You sure? Because the devs of Club Iris said the same thing, yet they have bathrooms and hotel rooms in a club game. A club game with notorious inappropriate users.

Man, Hindenburg should have shorted you guys a long time ago. Seems like you are finally beginning to do things for your young community. I hope that it continues and you don’t simply use this pressure to remove a bunch of features you don’t wish to think about anymore. 
you know I think it’s starting to make sense why an executive (or director, i don’t remember) position for safety and moderation went vacant a while back
