I feel like users 13 and under should be able to view the Group wall without the option to post messages. This way, they can also stay updated on the latest news and announcements regarding our project.

Thatâs not true. I personally use it a ton for announcements, and there are thousands of old messages I enjoy looking back on. They could just improve it instead of removing it entirely.

My game was gathering people around it for years, and the group wall was the main source of communication. My players talk to each other, suggest ideas and look for new friends to play with. That was our main advantage versus competitors who have similar games with no community at all. Now, with one update, which once again removing some feature providing no alternative, the years of work of my team can (and probably will) significantly fall apart. I believe with such changes, an alternative must be presented the same time as a feature is removed. I support the intention, but I am heavily disappointed with the way it is currently done.

Then that is their fault, not Robloxâs. How do you set your account to <13 on accident?
Personally, I think this is a great update because <13 are the people who usually get scammed (if you are 13+ then itâs your responsibility)

Honestly this is a great addition, and if you really care that much about feedback, make or get an open source feedback system to put in your game.

I think some of you guys are missing the point. The majority of users under the age of 13 will not contribute positively to a group wall. If you take into account the 1% that do, its not worth having that feature in place for them regardless. It enhances their saftey by restricting the amount of people they can message. Happy Days.

I should think itâs laziness to add proper alternatives instead of some cheap new thing that is 100 times worse than the previous feature.

Alot of users lie about their age, and most parents set their kidâs birthday to the one of the parentâs birthday.

At the very least, adding a form group owners can make for players to contact them/certain ranks. This is a decent alternative at least. This way, they can make suggestions/appeal bans. At the very least (again) they should also be able to SEE the group wall if they cannot post on it, this isnât confirmed though.
Adding a way to ban players instead of just exile/kick them AND a way to custom filter/automod messages containing keywords is also a great way to handle it instead of banning half of the platform from ever communicating there.
This is just removing one of the last useful form of communication for <13 users to talk with developers and appeal bans, and like I said before, if they get (appealable/false) banned they are pretty much cooked if they donât break TOS of roblox or discord

How interesting, I didnât expect this kind of change to happen, some may disagree, some may agree, but a lot of the groups Iâm in donât use a group wall feature, they only use Discord for primary communication, I know itâs only for 13+, but restricting the group wall to 13+ is just crazy.
I donât have my opinions on this, wouldnât I agree or disagree, group wall is just like the YouTube comment section before 2013, you canât reply to their message, and it can be unfortunate if youâre too late to respond their feedback or stuff like that, probably youâll get hated or people complain that you havenât responded to them, I feel like it needs improvement and possibly having the option to make it under 13 or 13+ only, I agree with people that want a feature called âBan Userâ, It would be super useful for preventing scammers or some people who have made major damage to their group, or anything terrible.
