As a mobile user, I very much agree that this new design should simply be an optional setting instead of it being forced onto everyone
For instance, the “experience controls” almost block the surrender button in battle bricks for me
and it doesn’t block anything in Bee Swarm Simulator, but the honey and pollen trackers are way down now
Don’t even get me started about the new incoming message tracker on the chat button that keeps losing track of chat messages (even if it’s only like 4 messages spaced out over a minute) and that also doesn’t have a “99+” indicator
Also yeah, their obsession with using the hamburger menu for random features has just absolutely kneecapped the captures system, and I bet there are still people walking around with that capture button
tl,dr: Roblox, just do better and give us actual choices for your crappy feature implementations
The new in-experience controls are now live for all desktop and mobile users, showing promising engagement improvements. This simplified UI has driven increased time spent and boosted voice and capture usage. We’re continuing to add features and are working on bringing these controls to console and VR soon.
Oh great. I find it more convenient too. Another question if I may, are you guys ever planning to give developers more control over the hamburger menu, or automatically disable it? The old Top Bar automatically hid itself whenever all CoreUI elements were disabled. Didn’t get a clear answer from other engineers for some reason.
