Hello @EalenorWolfson, I don’t see you as rude, since you have the right to ask questions in case you’re confuse about something within my work.
The platform “ROBLOX” carries the motto “Powering Imagination” for a reason. So I decided to put my office showcase place into the spotlight, and show off what I can do with my Studio knowledge.
Yes, originally I planned on making it an office, as you can still see in the early stages of it, yet I decided to add more rooms and thought it would be cool, if you wouldn’t have just the office there, but you could also be resident in the same building, so you technically live and work from out of one building if you get what I mean.
It has many reasons which include the following:
Imagination & Creativity
Showcase material
The cutesy and creative idea of living and working in the same block.
It may come off as surprising at first, but if you have any other comments or questions regarding this, please let me know!
One last thing I would like to mention, is that I adore unique things, something that varies from reality sometimes. Perhaps you don’t see an office next to your living space everyday, yet Roblox is a place where you’re able to imagine and create.
Anyways, I believe based on the pictures you’ve provided, and by visiting the place itself, you’ve created an amazing showcase. The small and unique details are very creative, the build overall is sufficient as well. Your lighting choices are also very nice. Great work!
I appreciate and take the feedback to heart. I was looking for feedback on the lighting because I have never worked with future lighting technology before and I’m really glad it turned out the way I wanted it to be.
Other than that, I want to thank you for the kind words and wish you the best of luck in your career as a developer, whether big or small!
Roblox is an imaginary platform for all kinds of ages, which has no end for developers. All you have to do is image and create!
Thank you for the feedback and for the contribution to the topic, since it doesn’t only provide me with feedback and compliments, but other developers with ideas and hints on what to pay close attention to when building.
I will take it in consideration and wish you the best of luck with your career as a builder on the imaginary platform Roblox.
The models in the room aren’t very nice and look a bit messy, and so do the buildings outside, as they do not mix with the skybox. The overall layout is nice, though, and could be improved on the outside.
Thank you for stumbling across my post on the Roblox Developer Forums, since this is a great opportunity for me to take suggestions and feedback on my builds.
I would have a few questions myself on your post though.
Can you define what you consider “messy” in your own words? [Is it rushed, too detailed, low-detailed, etc]
I have been thinking about the skybox a lot recently and was planning on removing that, so I consider this as a confirmation for my removal because a few other people have been saying that as well.
An example of messy models would be on the bed. The pillows have edges that shouldn’t be there, the shirts look very flat, so I would suggest using a mesh or beveling edges on them. Also, the sock is too small.
