Updating description of old plugin counted towards my monthly 'store shares' limit

I reuploaded an old plugin to my profile yesterday (so that I can sell it via the Creator Store for USD) which counted as a store share. I then went to add the new URL for the plugin to the old version’s description. When confirming the description changes to the off-sale, already uploaded plugin that also counted towards the share limit.

Expected behavior

Updating details like the title, description, or icon should not count towards ‘store shares’. Only “Distributing to Creator Store” should be considered a share.

Hi Richard,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. When you first re-uploaded the old plugin, did you do so via studio? Did this result in a new assetId for that old plugin being created? Also, when you uploaded it, did you tick the option for “Distribute to Creator Store”?

Can you hit this api by visiting the URL and tell me what your “usage” and “capacity” are currently?

We detected a bug related to your issue yesterday morning but made a fix in the afternoon. I am unable to reproduce your bug at this time so the issue may be fixed, although this may have affected your quota if you had experienced the bug before we made the fix. Can you try to reproduce the bug and see if its still increasing your quota right now?

I reuploaded an old group plugin, to my profile through Roblox Studio, and put it on sale through the website. That counted as 1 share.

Yes, this resulted in a new assetId being created.

No, I did this on the website so that I could set a USD price.

My “usage” is 2, and “capacity” is 10. I always remember this being way higher though.

I uploaded the plugin yesterday, so that might have been the case! I tried to reproduce this just now with another plugin, and it did not count towards my shares.

Right, I think that we have fixed this bug yesterday. I will look into why the capacity is only 10 with our Product team. If I remember correctly this should have been higher as well.

Hi Richard.

I just confirmed with the product team and it looks like the quota should be 10 as expected.

Let me know if there are any other problems we can help with.

Best,
