Updating UGC Avatar Bundle Changes Thumbnail

Renaming an avatar bundle changes its thumbnail from the new pose and lighting to the old pose and lighting.
EDIT: It seems like everything is retroactively turning back into the old pose and lighting thumbnails now.

This happened to me as well! I think the “old pose” which appears after updating the item looks much better however, and I wish there was a way to choose between the 2. It shows a much larger picture of the bundle/character

Hi, thanks for your report! We are actively looking into this and will update when we have resolved the issue.

We have rolled out a fix for the thumbnails issue, any impacted bundle thumbnails should return to normal within 1-2 days. Future name changes will not alter the bundle thumbnail. Thanks again for your report!

Hi idelww, thanks for your feedback. Do you have an example of a bundle where the old thumbnail pose looks better for your creation? We’d love to understand how to continue improving our thumbnails.

Hi, I don’t have any specific example with any of my own bundles however here’s a bundle created by roblox:

While the avatar animation is different, that’s not what we’re looking at.
In the second picture, we can notice how the character is not looking at the camera/viewer anymore & the lightning is also more bluish.
I believe the facing of the character might not be as crucial, but the blue lightning on the characters is definitely changing the way a lot of characters look.

Another thing to mention is how some characters appear to be smaller than they used to be, which could really affect the way people interact with the specific item
