Upload Options User Made Meshes

What I want and would benefit anyone that has put a lot of work into getting the topology right of their models is the option for selecting how the model is uploaded.
For example;

I have a model consisting out of 4k polys and have multiple objects in my workspace for animating purposes.
Currently you guys do not support importing of animations from .fbx meaning i’d have to work around with getting that done entirely in studio.
Importing said model currently makes the studio attach all my objects into 1 object which makes it impossible to move around the objects in studio.

My request is to expose more import options with the ability to upload my model not as a single mesh.

On that topic, I think they’re working on this but I can’t be entirely sure. (See [this wiki page] for more details.)

I think you misread what I said, I am talking about the addition of more options when importing models.
Currently studio merges all your objects into a single mesh which leaves no room for editing (animating small things, not characters) once imported into studio.
The wiki page talks about the import of character rigs, not models in general.

Right there it says that if a model has multiple sub-meshes (i.e. you export 5 models as a single FBX) it’ll upload the individual components as meshes.

It needs clarification then because this feature isn’t even out yet.
It says its meant for the import of characters that are rigged which is something differently.

This feature is used internally for importing R15 rigs, it requires a very specific rig hierarchy to work right now. In the future we might generalize it and make it available to developers but there is no plan for this right now.

So, the option to generate multiple meshparts if there are multiple meshes?

Correct, say I make a fighter jet and have multiple mesh parts within my model for animating purposes.
The way it works now is that each object needs to be imported 1 by 1 and that can be a real hassle…
That’s why I want more import options.

Yeah I remember either you or a rbx admin saying that somewhere, I figured that isn’t what I was looking for.
