UpLYFTR - A Helicopter taxi game

Game Link:

UpLYFTR is a game project I threw together over my spring break. the premise of the game is simple, fly to point A, pick up your client. fly to Point B.
(it’s still kinda boring)

I’m looking for critiques and feature ideas for this. as well as help findings bugs.
(and I am Aware “MyCopter” does nothing, i’ve not added that yet)

Already on the roadmap:

  • Different Vehicles
  • paint shop
  • Passenger Capacity
  • Timed missions
  • more mission types (employment by emergency services maybe)
  • a more complete map
  • more building types to generate with
  • smooth terrain map
  • improved handling
  • get FE working (it currently is not FE, because i’m lazy AF)
  • improved UI

So… yep. there’s my spring project. Let me know what you think

I feel like making this into a taxi game isn’t a very fun idea and won’t pull many players in. I think a better idea would be to make it a delivery game similar to truck delivery games but attach a rope to the helicopter that can grapple onto objects and tell the user to take it to a destination. E.g pick up wood → Saw mill → furniture factory → shop

I had considered something like that. I was kinda going for a “simcopter” kind of feel.
Right now I’m looking feedback on stuff like controls, UI design, handling, bugs etc.

And plus… it is really inefficient to move cargo by helicopter

not for offshore or remote locations

But, being honest. the current mission system is 98% duct tape, glue, and twigs… maybe cargo could be a thing. but i don’t want to make another shipping simulator/tycoon where the only twist is that “surprise! it’s helicopters this time!”
