User Ad Question

Hello,

I’ve just got a quick and simple question in relation to User Ads. Do these ads only run on PC, or do they run all other platforms such as Mobile or Console?

Any help is appreciated.

Hi!
As far as I know, Roblox ads do not show up on tablet or mobile app. They probably don’t appear on console, but I’m not sure. However, ads are visible on any device while you surf roblox site in a web browser (not the app).
If you want to promote your games to other Robloxians beside pc users, you should think about sponsoring it.

All advertisements are pushed towards players on PC.

If you want to reach a variety of devices, use sponsorships.

If you want to make a PC exclusive game, use advertisements (or sponsorships as well, depending how catchy icon is).

However, whenever I hear about this topic, I always mention this: You don’t necessarily need to advertise or sponsor, or at least not right away. From personal experience I’ve found it’s best to let a couple friends play. If it’s fun, they stay, and Roblox algorithms pick that up and push to a couple other people searching for games. You CAN gain players without advertising and sponsoring, but the two help a lot

Back to the topic though. If you do sponsorships, make sure pick the right platforms. Ask youself; do you have support for mobile/Xbox? Is your game easier on some devices than on others? Asking questions like these allow you to pick what devices to push for on the market, and will thus earn your more play time and revenue.

I agree with @iGottic, also to add on, if your going to sponsor your game or group or whatever, I’d recommend sponsoring in the weekends, when more players are usually online,

That actually depends, and usually not the case (depends on age demographic of game).
Lots more people sponsor on the weekend, meaning you get less impressions for the same amount of money.

I’ve found these days work for me:

  • Wednesday (Some American schools do half-days this day)
  • Thursday
  • Sunday

Generally, these work:

  • Holidays and the day after that holiday
  • Sometime late December/Early January
  • June
  • September

I’m unsure why some of these are, but they are :man_shrugging:
