User Profile Information Gets Cut Off If Too Long

Description
When a user a has a long string of text entered for their location and/or website, the following text is cut off instead of being wrapped one line below. Note that in the image below, the user’s Roblox profile gets cut off instead of being word-wrapped.

Reproduction
Constantly

  1. Find or create a profile with a sufficiently long location and/or website
  2. Observe that text gets cut off

It would be nice if the location could be hovered over to see the whole text, but it’s truncated without hovering over it.

They should also make it multi line.

I think that generally, the value you put as your Location shouldn’t be that long. Otherwise, its not being utilized as intended by Discourse.

If you have a longer string, I strongly suggest you put it in the “About me” field on your profile preferences.

They should add a character limit in the Location and the Website sections of the profile, and if you try to exceed the limit, then they would tell you to either shorten it or put it in the About section
