Using a keyboard and mouse on iPadOS treats Roblox like the mobile app

On iPadOS, if you use a keyboard and mouse, it still shows the mobile UI, and UserInputService.KeyboardEnabled and UserInputService.MouseEnabled are also not true.

Screenshots:

(You can see the joystick and jump buttons, along with ContextActionService.

I also have Build Mode locked if you don’t have a keyboard or mouse.

Reproduction steps

  • On an iPad, connect a keyboard and mouse
  • Go into an experience
  • You will see the joystick. Using WASD and Jump along with all of the other desktop hotkeys do not work as well.

Expected behavior:

I expect to use my keyboard and mouse just fine with my iPad on Roblox

Actual behavior:

I cannot use my keyboard and mouse on my iPad.

This is expected behavior. (sadly)

Hi, I can confirm that this issue is still happening on my iPad Pro 2022. Could you tell us if this is indeed a bug, or just a Feature Request?

Sorry for the late reply! Yes, this still seems to be an issue.

This should be fixed with the newly introduced preferred input API. If you’re still experiencing any problems, let us know.
