I started work on a low-poly Uzi last night, and finished touching it up today.

I’m very proud of it because it’s actually recognizable, and I worked hard on it. What do you guys think?

I am a bit new to Blender, so don’t make your criticism too harsh please.
Not bad for a beginner. Definitely want to add some more key details like the magazine inside of the grip and the barrel a bit longer and slimmer.
You might want to smooth things out a bit, like the round handle, right click and press shade smooth, if you don’t like it, you can right click and press shade flat.
You’re gonna want to remove the little thing in front of the trigger and move the handle with the magazine to the middle of the barrel so it looks as real as possible. Look up a picture of a real uzi and you’ll know what I mean. But other than that, looks great so far.
Great job. I love Blender too!
Get ready for some constructive criticism…
How to Improve
Use reference images if you’re modeling hard-surface objects (Think cars, weapons, buildings, etc). To me, this model doesn’t look an Uzi, it simply seems like a pistol with a big magazine, if your going for models to be recognizable, make sure it looks like what it’s supposed to be based off.
Use modeling tools like Beveling (Ctrl + B) and Inset Faces (I or I x 2 to inset on mesh’s own origins). This can help you to make better looking objects, and accomplish details much faster than just only extruding faces and moving vertices. Loop cutting or knife cutting can also help as well to make supporting geometry to further add more faces to work off of.
Add lighting and render your model! When I finish a model, I usually make a simple render of it and add some lighting, it can really make or break your model sometimes as it shows how it can handle lighting in games and how your mesh is affected by light sources!
Node Editing, if you go to the shading tab, there is a whole sandbox of resources to help you color models better and/or texture them! You can UV unwrap for textures with intricate details or skins, or use normal mapping to add depth to some parts as well. The possibilities of combinations are endless and will make your meshes look 10x better.
Geometry on all Axes, I noticed in your model, you really only worked on geometry in the X plane, use the Z and Y planes as well, as it is 3D after all, for example the top side feels flat and could use some simple geometry on the top to make it pop more, and the front facing barrel could use some more work on it as well to make it look more smooth and clean.
Other General Tips
Now I have no way of knowing this, but considering you’re a beginner to Blender, the #1 tip or habit you should get into if you’re making models for games (applies to all game engines), you need to make sure you use quads or tris for faces. For example, a face is formed when you join 3 or more vertices together, only use 3 / 4 to form those, N-Gons, faces with more than 4 vertices, are generally bad for game engines, require more processing power, and can cause shading errors and other mesh issues.
Exporting your models from something like Blender into Roblox is a tedious task. IF you wanted to use your mesh in-game, either the best way to do it was export the model’s parts as individual OBJ files and then color in game, or create a UV-Texture map and export the entire model as one OBJ and apply the texture to it in Studio.
Hopefully you gain a little knowledge from this and can further yourself in the 3D Modeling field so you can produce better quality models each time you make them! The more you do it, the more you learn after all!
the thing is very well not interesting just a block with a nozzle
the structure is boring here’s what I mean
as you can see there are things like hooks & scopes.
Sorry if that was harsh .
I used Bevel and Inset, I actually started the idea by Beveling the corner of a cube.
Yeah, I forgot the magazine clip goes on the handle, I fixed that. Look at the replies.
I know it’s not the best, I was just practicing my skills.
It’s ok! I tried doing it without a reference picture, it might not be acurate.
What do you mean by
Could you clarify?
I think he means “What type of UZI is that, I’ve never seen that kind of uzi.”
yeah, it reminds me more of a tec 9 or skorpion
Honestly that looks more like a 93R then an Uzi. I recommend looking at a reference image and adding more details.
That does not look like a Uzi at all to me. The mag is nonexistent, the stock is nonexistent; I don’t think there is a foregrip on the Uzi; the trigger is tiny and there is no trigger guard. It looks more like a wonky 93R than a Uzi. Try using reference pictures; reference pictures help a lot.
i dont know
i dont know

It looks more like a TEC-9 more than an UZI. Another than that its pretty good for your level! Keep it up, hope to see you making some really cool meshs
I don’t know how to use Blender but that isn’t bad! Maybe make a Mini Uzi cause I Uzi is huge. Keep it up and you’ll get better.
