I recently made the car more “stable”.

I like the cars but the system still needs some work for example when I get in the cars they just float up for some reason:


Also when the middle of my car reaches an edge of a block or any other car it starts to shake rapidly for 2 seconds which is pretty strange. This shaking also happens whenever I drive over the ramps

If you die, on the console appears much errors

They float because it’s vector force based… The suspension is made from “forces” also the shaking is because of the suspension values.

I’ll fix that but it shouldn’t affect anything anyways.

I found 2 errors

1 if you get out of the car you character get bottom of the car

2 on enter in the car the car rotate 45-90 grades randomly

Can you show video proof? I have never experienced that.

Ah yes that was when I was updating the chassis. mb

Update: Some slight camera changes , steering changes and the wheels now work!

I would love anymore feedback. Otherwise I’ll start using this chassis for my game.

You’ve made some significant improvements to it since I last played the game. The wheels now hold to the ground, and from my perspective it looks like the issues with the wheel faces have been resolved.

I can’t say I’m a fan of the camera movements while driving, though. The FoV effect is far too intense, which I feel discounts the feeling of smooth acceleration that was appealing to me in earlier builds. The sideways movement of the camera when the car turns is also disorienting for me. To make driving feel more natural, I’d suggest weakening the FoV and removing the sideways movements.

Besides this, there are a few glitches with the system that still need to be addressed. Mainly, the body of the car still floats while driving and the wheels are still prone to being stuck in the ground.

If some of the problems I’ve described are looked into, this could be a very smooth and versatile chassis.

I understand the body floating as the wheels are joined by motor6d’s but what do you mean by the wheels being prone to being stuck to the ground? Their collision is off.

After playing around with it a bit more, it seems like a different problem than in earlier builds. If the car falls directly on its side, it can’t always manage to right itself and stops working. This issue has definitely proved more difficult to reproduce than the earlier wheel glitches.
