VectorForce (Instance) and Materials

I don’t really know how to approach this situation, so I prefer to leave this post in a help category, anyway I believe it will reach the right users.

I noticed that when using VectorForce, it applies a different force based on the material the part is in. Does this have any parameters? Could I somehow change the force the material exerts under VectorForce? I say this because I actually tested it and just changing the material makes VectorForce weaker or stronger. Ex: Grass is extremely “light” while Sandstone is extremely “heavy”. I don’t know if it’s a bug or there are values behind this mechanism, so I prefer to read from users who have already noticed or know how it works. Yep, in roblox different materials have different densities and friction.

Given the same size part, same volume, more density, equals more mass, equals more force needed to lift it against gravity.

You can overide this using custom physical properties or take it into account using part:GetMass(), for assemblies part.AssemblyMass
